Hey guys!

 My journey into the flower industry was slightly unconventional but it has been a long time coming! Creativity is something that has always been a part of my life. My parents told me that even as a young kid I was always designing something! After graduating high school, I attended the Villanova School of Business where I studied management and marketing while also taking the classes necessary to apply to dental school. During my junior year I had this desire in my heart to throw away all the sciences (especially organic chemistry) and pursue a career that involved something a little more creative and one that inspired me - but my brain won. After graduating Villanova, I pursued a career in the medical field.  

 

Medicine was fascinating but the one thing about it, is that it lacks creativity. There is no room for creativity when science is involved. I found myself craving a creative outlet to offset the rigidity of medicine. That opportunity came when I sat next to a florist at one of my best friend's baby showers. 

 

Cassie of Cassandra Shah flowers took me under her wing and allowed me to come and work with her in her studio. I would come to her studio on Mondays and help with a florist's favorite activities: cleaning buckets, melting wax off candles and breaking down boxes...a lot of boxes! But the best part about it was that I got to take everything apart. It allowed me to see the mechanics and the thought behind the designs. And while I learned a little backwards, I still thank Cassie every day for instilling proper mechanics in my head! 

 

Fast forward to all these years later, with A LOT of encouragement from Cassie, my wife, and my family, I created Jack Perri! This is truly a dream come true and while I still hold me "real job" - this company, and the amazing couples and vendors I have met along the way, have truly changed my life!
